Job Specification

In this Strategic Business Manager role, you will be supporting the highest levels of Management and other Business Unit Heads from a strategic, operational and governance perspective. You will operate as a member of the Strategic Business Management Team, working under Senior Leadership to ensure that the Bank's Operational, Governance and Regulatory frameworks are fit for purpose and running correctly and optimally on a BAU / day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support business unit heads in key strategic and operating issues and ensuring the implementation of plans.
  • Work as an SME for business enquiries in the complex lending space
  • Prepare materials and policies required to support any strategic direction and objectives
  • Track, monitor and conduct analysis of business performance across the sophisticated lending business lines
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the region and globally
  • Prepare documentation and papers for relevant business meetings and forums
  • Take responsibility for assessing the suitability (and enhancing / improving) the risk framework and governance models with the function.

Experience

  • You will most likely have worked in a Front Office environment, with experience in a FO Business Manager role and have delivered strategic and operational activities across a multitude of business disciplines.
  • Key market / product knowledge required is within the complex debt lending teams i.e.
  • Project Finance
  • Structured Finance
  • Leveraged Finance
  • Acquisition Finance
  • Proven experience of the overall financial management and control of a front office business function, ensuring compliance with corporate governance, legal and regulatory requirements
