Job Specification

My client, a major Banking Group with an outstanding reputation as one of the leading banks both Globally and pan-European in the Project Finance and Structured Finance arena, require a Financial Modeller with experience building and developing models of complex structured transactions.

This role has client-facing responsibilities and will give you direct involvement and exposure to the Origination, Structuring, Advisory and Execution elements of some of the largest and most exciting deals in a range of typical Project Finance sectors (Infrastructure, PPP,  Power & Energy, Renewables, Metals Mining, Aviation and other big-ticket deals) in this dynamic and very exciting lending space.

Your key deliverable will be to design and build models in respect to Project Finance and Structured Finance transactions as well as responding to day-to-day queries raised by clients (or other banks) regarding the model queries. 

Other key responsibilities include: 

  • Reviewing models prepared by external parties and other Banks and involved Financial Institutions
  • Conducting stress tests whilst working closely with the originating deal team and preparing reports for Senior Management
  • Responding to queries raised by internal and external stakeholders, banks and sponsors in respect to the financial models.

Key interpersonal skills

  • At least 2-3 years' experience developing and building models within a Project Finance or Structured Finance environment is essential. 
  • Good communication skills – the ability to build and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues is required. This role has client-facing responsibilities and you will be liaising with clients at a counterpart level to relay specific information and respond to routine queries ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • The ability to reach concise conclusions and convey them in simple terms
  • Highly organised and can work with great accuracy in an effective time management
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workloads
