Job Specification

This appointment will suit an experienced Cell Site Analysis Specialist looking to join an experienced Digital Forensics Team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation of technical experience and relevant expertise from working on law enforcement or defence cell site analysis work.

This position will include:

  • Collecting and analysing network survey data using industry standard methodologies +techniques and then presenting findings at selected case conferences and in Courts.
  • Experience in effective communication of any progress of any assignments reporting directly to the Digital Investigations Manager.
  • Using and applying the validated tools alongside policies + procedures, following direction from the Digital Investigations Manager.
  • The role will include the production of comprehensive reports of findings in tech jargon free language and have these ready to present in court if required.
  • Appearing at allotted case conferences as well as various different court hearings to present all findings and provide expert evidence where needed.

A proven track record in forensic laboratory practices gained as a Cell Site Analyst alongside ample experience in giving evidence in court as an expert witness is essential for this requirement.

The chosen candidate will need to clearly be able to display and demonstrate an understanding of GSM + UMTS networks have experience of surveying + analysing data from different radio networks, have a strong working knowledge of UK geography a clear understanding of ACPO guidelines when dealing with digital evidence, an understanding and experienced background of the rules of evidence IE: expert witness duties what this entails and disclosure legislation under CPIA alongside the ability to produce any written reports of findings in non-techy jargon to present in court if necessary.
